The 'advantage' of not attacking

Well, I've been attack one server 5 by the same ww gezillions of times, he's lower lvl than me by 1, he was always winning...that sucked, but when I've attacked him. KABLAM, I won. How do you call that, huh? Where's your defending advantage? I think it's all just shit! It's better to attack, when to wait until you'll be killed by someone...
